NarsIssist Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hello My Loves

I have been stuck in an eye-shadow rut for quite a while now.  If its not my Urban Decay Naked Palette or a Mac eye-shadow, then it has not been going on my eyes!  I think because both of those brands give such great quality pigments that blend well and last the day, I have been reluctant to try any other brand. Its like when you find a good man that treats you well, you just aren't interested in any other men!

But like the magpie that I am, I saw the lovely shiny packaging of the NarsIssist Eyeshadow Palette and had to purchase it! Seriously, anything shiny or glittery and my head is turned.  I am every marketeers dream. I need more self control!

While they have good pigments and last well throughout the day, I just didn't find them the same quality as Urban Decay or Mac eye-shadows.  I had to have a few swipes of the brush to get the desired colour.  That is not to say that they are not good quality, because they are, but I have just been spoiled with the exceptional quality of my two favorite eye-shadow brands.

What are your favourite eye-shadow brands/palettes?

Love, Mini

  2. I like the shades, but I agree with you, the quality doesn't seem quite as good as some of the more expensive eyeshadows like MAC. Love the look of the Himala shade, though, I think it could be wonderful for creating some autumn looks! x

  5. I like Nars eyeshadows, but I have not bought any of the latest colours recently. Although, the Giove and Himalia colour look very pretty here! Thanks for the review, and I agree with you my Urban Decay palette is one of my favourites. <3

  6. I have read mixed reviews on this palette with majority disappointed with it. I felt the same way my my Urban Decay Smoky palette. :-( My favourites by far are Naked 1 and Smashbox Full Exposure.

  10. Hi Mini! I like the colors. I don't know your favorite brands, but I agree: once you have the perfect one, there's no need to look for another man, eh I mean brand LOL! Personally I don't have a favorite brand, because I get itchy eyes from eye shadow, I just use a teeny tiny bit of blusher on my upper eyelids to give my pale skin some color!

  11. Great review! I don't understand the hype behind NARS eyeshadow. Blush, foundation and concealer are great from NARS, but their eyeshadows... yeah, not so much.

  15. That's a shame that you didn't find the quality as good as other brands. I will be purchasing some Makeup Geek and Too Faced palettes for myself this Christmas. From what I've read, they are beautifully pigmented and last all day!

  16. Haha, you made me laugh when you say you can't resist to glittery stuff. I'm glad this palette was worth the purchase, tho! It does look amazing and all the shades are perfect for this season. Himalia is my fave! :)
