How to Make your Manicure Last Up to 10 Days

Hello My Loves

As you may or may not know, I am just a tad obsessed with getting my nails done. One of my very first blog posts was a selection of the nail art that I used to get done by my very fabulous nail artist, Babs. There is just something about having fabulously painted fingers that makes me feel a million dollars!

When Babs went on maternity leave (and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl) it left me in quite the conundrum! (I know, how dare she, doesnt she realise her life should revolve around my nails, lol?!)

You see Babs is a total perfectionist. She is literally the guru of nails. She solves all my nail emergencies, she makes sure each nail is aligned and she is gifted at nail art.

I have tried out other nail artists since Babs went on maternity leave, but to no avail. So I have had to resort to the pre-Babs era when I painted my own nails. I just cant do them as good as her no matter how hard I try and I find my polish chips after a day or two no matter what high end brands I use.

So I decided to see if the CND vinylux topcoat over my regular polish would work in making my manicure last longer than a few days. The makers of the famous CND Shellac have said Vinylux lasts up to 7 days, but I wanted to see what would happen if I used it as a topcoat over normal nail polish brands.

I need to share this with you now because this little bottle has been my nail polish godsend!

My current polish is on its 10th day on my nails and as you see, its holding up pretty good.

I have on one coat of Sally Hansen in Sheer Me Now, with one coat of Essie in Marshmallow and then I put a coat of Vinylux over it.

I bought Vinylux on eBay for about €10 a few weeks ago and honestly, until Babs is back, its my little bottle of perfection.

Have you ever used Vinylux? I would love to hear any other tips for making manicure's last longer.

Love, Mini
