Creme De La...Madness?!

Hello My Loves

My fabulous best friend works in a luxury department store in the beauty department. She takes care of all my skincare and make up needs. It is a great perk of being her BFF, as well as having her fabulous self as an amazing friend. She keeps me up to date on the latest products and gives me great advise on what my skin needs.

She has always made sure I am stocked up on Creme De La Mer products. She first bought me the Creme de La Mer Eye Concentrate for my 30th birthday. Hint hint! Get those eye lines seen to asap! This product is so expensive. It retails at €175. So...the big questions...is it worth the hype?

You only need to apply a tiny dot and it comes with a surgical steel applicator that is always cooling. To be honest, I never used the applicator, but always applied with my fingers. Tut tut me. I found this eye cream very thick and heavy. So heavy in fact, it gave me a milia under one eye. Google milia and you will see what they are, tiny white dots that look kinda like spots but aren't. Anyway, I removed the milia myself and all its gone with no scaring.
I don't think Creme de La Mer, or any eye cream can turn back time and take away the wrinkles that are there already, but I do think that they can prevent as many wrinkles appearing in the future. Would I re-purchase? Probably not. Its too thick and heavy for me and the price is ridiculous.

Now to the Creme de La Mer Illuminating Eye Gel, well that's a different story. It is an amazing serum type product that glides onto the skin like silk. The texture is amazing. Its so soft and just made me feel instantly prettier! Again, does it work? I think it does a great job at moisturizing the eye area and in preventing wrinkles. I would and will definitely re-purchase this. At €125 its slightly cheaper then the Eye Concentrate, but its a better product for me. Its not as heavy or thick and just feels amazing on my skin.

And lastly, I tried out the Creme de La Mer Moisturising Cream. Now I don't know if its the particular pot of this that I got but the cream is extremely thick. The thickest moisturiser I have ever used by far. I really did not like the consistency of this cream. Its hard to rub into the skin its so thick.  It is doing a good job of moisturizing my dry skin in this cold weather though. I have no dry patches whilst using it. It is €135 for 30ml and I would not re-purchase this. It was my least favourite product out of the the three I tried.

I hope this review was helpful.

Have you tried any of the products above?

Love, Mini xxx
