My Paris Hen Extravaganza

Bonjour Mes Amies

I went to Paris over the weekend for my second and final hen party. It was unbelievably amazing like I knew it would be, because, lets be honest here, Paris never disappoints!

I flew from Cork to Charles de Gaulle Airport on Friday with my bridesmaid Gill (who I spoke about in a previous post).  I don't really like flying, actually flying isn't the problem, I just get claustrophobic and fear having a panic attack in the airplane.  So we had a glass of wine in the airport and Gill won on a scratch card which we thought was a great bit of luck for the trip.

When we arrived Friday evening we were a bit tired but very giddy. Jan was so happy to see us and showed us around her new apartment in the 13eme. She has so much space, which for Paris is rare. She had a lovely little welcome party for us, with my favourite sweets - macaroons, lots of bread, cakes and fruit. Yummy!

That night we went out in her arrondissment for a dinner. I was still stuffed from all the bread and cake but I had a mojito and a goats cheese salad (with more bread on the side!).
We had a long dinner and caught up on all our lives and gossip!

Saturday morning Gill and me hit the Champs Elysees as I wanted to go visit Laduree and sample their macaroons. There is only one Laduree store in Ireland and its in Dublin so I dont get to visit as often as I like. We ate cake and macaroons and drank coffee.

Next up on the our trip was the more fantastic part. It makes me smile just thinking about it. We went to the FOUR SEASONS for Afternoon Tea! I cannot even put into words how amazing an experience this was but I will try! The hotel is nothing like any other 5 star hotel I have been to. It reeks of glamour, sophistication and opulence. It has grand hallways at the entrance and is filled with beautiful artistic bouquets of flowers. I loved every minute of it.

Gill (Left) is wearing Topshop skinny jeans and a River Island Kimono. I am wearing a Topshop dress, Jimmy Choo wedges, Prada bag, Zara blazer and Zara necklace.

That night we went for dinner with Gill's friend who lives in Paris and the entire night was full of laughter.

Memories I will treasure forever and now its a straight 3 weeks to our wedding!

Love, Mini xxx
