My Hen Weekend - Part I

Hello my loves

I write this with a mouth as dry as the Sahara and my bones aching because this weekend was my Irish hen weekend! I am a broken woman!! Lots of champs, laughter and activities.

I originally was only planning on having my hen weekend in Paris, but I have Irish friends that I knew wouldn't be able to go, so I had a little shindig in Ireland to be with all those dear friends.

We went to Kilkee, Co. Clare, which is a little seaside town. One of my bridesmaids parents have a holiday home there, so we were sorted for accommodation which was fantastic.

The sun came out as a good luck blessing I like to think, and the temperature was in the early 20's for the weekend. Irish weather is notoriously bad and can be really rainy and wet, so I really thought the gods were smiling down on me with our good weather.

Our activity was meant to be paddle-boarding but the company let us down at the last minute, which really stressed out my bridesmaid as you can imagine.  But I told her not to worry, that we could all hang out at the beach and go swim or sunbath and everyone would be perfectly happy to do that. We all went swimming and hung out on the beach in our bikinis - in Ireland - in September! Unheard of!!

Everyone was saying how nice it was to chill out during the day of a hen party and catch up with chats, as opposed to being on a hectic strict schedule!

My hens dressed me up to embarrass me that evening with veils and sash's and other pink and embarrassing things! We had a great night, with lots of laughter.  We went out for a lovely meal and found some live music that evening to bop away to. I am not a nightclub type of person so this suited me perfectly!

My dress is from Lipsy and I loved it. I wanted something sparkly and in a light colour. Being nude it was perfect. It was a bodycon dress.  I lost a bit of weight recently and wanted to show it off.  I had a spray tan.  My nude peep toe shoes were from New Look.

I am really excited about my Paris hen, which is two weekends away. I am going over to see my bridesmaid that lives in Paris, along with my other bridesmaid. So its just the 3 of us. We are going for afternoon tea in the Four Seasons and lots of other great activities. I used to live in Paris so I know it well and cant wait to get back to my spiritual home!
